In the heart of Chianti

Castles, wine farms, vineyards, beautiful landscapes, medieval villages and Romanesque churches are all part of the Chianti area.

Chianti is all of this and a lot more: it's a culture of good wines and excellent food, it has a "slow time" culture and a great sense of hospitality.

Its culture is lively and reflective, created over the years by the various cultures that have lived there with its hundred year old farming experience.

Greve is the most famous town for all of this.

The Piazza in Greve is the centre of the village. Here you will find its famous shops and wine bars where you can taste their specialities and the most refined wines. In the square you can visit antique markets, the ritual blessing of horses that takes place once a year, open air concerts and also have the possibility to sit at a table in the local bars under the arcade and drink a glass of wine.

Greve in Chianti has a central position regarding tours in the Chianti Classico area. It is near to important art centres and places of cultural interest such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Certaldo etc. It is 25 km. from Florence.
The nearest motorway is at 20 km. The" Superstrada" Firenze-Siena is at 16 km. From Greve you can go to Figline , a town to visit in the Valdarno area.
